The goal of our "Crisis Prevention and Recovery" programme is humanitarian and developmental. It aims at recreating an environment in which people can live safely and in which economic and social well-being can occur free from the constraints imposed by natural or manmade disasters. UNDP works with partners and establish solid foundations for their effective management and preparedness to address the country's risks with the ultimate goal of advancing the UN Millennium Development Goals on poverty reduction.
